Day 1 – Tennessee Triumph @ Kentucky lake

My worst tournament year ever, continues! Caught at least 75 bass today and only caught 5 keepers for 10lbs. Most of the big bags have come from inside the creeks, I unfortunately have been fishing the main river. Threw a big jig most of the day, but never found those big fish. Don’t know what I’m doing tomorrow, but I know I need 20 plus to get in the cut!

Day 2 & 3 Practice for Tennessee Triumph @ Kentucky lake

Making short today, (I have to blog outside w/ mosquitoes). Tough on me, caught a 15lb limit the last two days, but no big ones! I’m gonna stay outside and ledge fish, and hope to run into a school of big ones. Cranks, jigs, and a 10″ worm will be my weapons, see ya tomorrow!

Day 1 Practice for Tennessee Triumph @ Kentucky lake

Toughest day that I’ve ever had on Kentucky lake! There are a couple reasons why; 1) they just had a two day Triton owners tournament here with 300 teams, 2) today is Sunday and they don’t run a lot of current on weekends. I caught one 4lber and a few small keepers, and a few little knotheads. A big drum and catfish rounded out my day. We also had a 20mph wind that really hindered fishing many areas. The real practice will start tomorrow when the current will start moving. I expected better fishing today, but I know today probably did not mean much. I’ll check back in tomorrow!
