Thanksgiving

We want to wish everyone a happy Thanksgiving! Just put little TJ to bed, and I have a lot to be thankful for! Great friends, family, and sponsors, make our life great and yours too, I hope. We will be spending Thanksgiving at my mom’s, she’s a great host and cook, then Friday will be Amy’s B-day (a big one!), and she wants to go bowling. Next week, I should be traveling east to pick up our new motor home for next season, I can’t wait. Again, enjoy the holiday, and we will talk soon…

Alamo lake ABA, MBC

Fished two tourneys yesterday at Alamo lake with partner Steve M. Fishing was pretty good, a lot of fish on spoons, a few on jigs, and some on reaction baits. I think we ended up about 4th in both with 9 plus pounds. Perfect day on the lake, but too much driving for one day. Working on getting our new (to us) motor home, thanks Matt, should have pictures soon. We are going to add a blog site here for Amy to use, and should be announcing some new sponsors too!! Things are going well for us and baby TJ is growing quickly, we are very blessed!

Fish’n chips final

So I need some help on my poker skills My partner and I both finished about 60th in poker, so we started way back in the pack. Our fishing wasn’t much better, we finished with about 20lbs, and finished 30th. It was a great event, and I really enjoyed both events being tied together. The 1200 mile drive was a little much, next time I’ll fly!!!

Fish n chips

I’m here in Oklahoma fishing the fishnchips event. This tournament combines fishing with a poker tourney for a $20,000 first prize. I’ve never really played tournament poker, and the fishing is tough, so should be an interesting week. My partner, Kelly, and I have covered Grand lake end to end, and it’s been a struggle to catch good fish. Most of the fish seem to be right on the bank eating shad. Finding the better fish has been tough. Poker is another story, it will start tomorrow, and I’ll let you know the results. I entered BASS again next year, and am ready to get back to the Classic!
