Caught a couple keepers, but just threw them back rather than drag them thru the weighin. My co-angler, Jeff, caught 3 for 12+, all on a tube. I hooked about 3, but all jumped off. Horrible execution today, need to get that out of my system. Heading off for a belated birthday dinner, and forget this poor tournament! I got one more chance to make the Classic, in a couple of weeks at Oneida, that lake owes me one!!!

Oops! Went east today with a NW wind, not good. Fished in 6 footers for 4 hours, then headed back to the bays to fish for largemouths. They didn’t bite either! Caught 3 bass all day, only 1 kept. The best bite seemed to be in Canada, and I never got a Canadian license, a recipe for disaster. Fish around tomorrow, then head to Michigan for a Bassmaster “Day on the Lake article”.

Believe me, this is not the same lake as I was on last week!

I’m fixed and back on the water, but only caught 1 smallie all day! This side really does suck compared to Buffalo! I did catch 100lbs of drum and catfish, but that was it. It’s supposed to blow tomorrow on my b-day, so I might just hang out with the family and just wing it on tournament day. Not too much confidence left to lose…

Catastrophe! Burned up a starter and got stranded in the middle of the lake. $750 later, got towed in, with only 4 little fish. After having so much success on this lake, guess I shouldn’t complain, it did come in top 10 cut day. I’m now getting packed to head around the lake for the Bass open out of Ohio. Amy, TJ, and my mom are meeting me there, so should be a great week! Another week of pounding…

Made the cut in 7th place, even with a pound penalty for dead fish. Wasn’t looking good though. Started close, caught nothing, my partner caught a 5, then ran all the way to Dunkirk. Caught a 5 and 3 more keepers there, my partner caught a limit, and we headed back. Ended up catching 3 more, and culled to 17lbs. Not sure about tomorrow, the weather will dictate everything.
