Another close call! After you make the top 50, you want to make sure not to finish 50th, because that is only $5 grand not $10,000. So,I went back to south bay, and flipped around about 30 local boats. At 11, I only had one 3.5lber. At 2pm, I only had four for about 6lbs! About 2:30, most of the other boats left, and I stuck one about 5,5 lbs, and new I wouldn’t be getting 50th. I ended up 44th, and was happy to milk a good finish out of an unpopular area. Whew! Sneaked into the money at 48th! Way better than 51st. Went down to an area where I caught a 9lber in practice, and caught two almost 6 real close to that spot.
