Final Elite and Happy B-Day

Well at least I caught a limit on my birthday, I don’t have a good track record of fish catching on the 24th! Overall, it was my worst elite season fishing, but one of the most enjoyable as a family. Amy, TJ, and I had a tremendous year of travel and fun, and we owe it all to our sponsors and family, and most of all to my late grandmother. The fishing at Oneida was tough, but it doesn’t explain how I could do the same things 2 days in a row and catch 1 the first day and 13lbs the second.I caught em flippin and dropshotting, my two favorites, just not enough of em. Now it’s on to Vegas for the US Open, time to go...

Oneida practice

Tough! I’ve been here 5 previous times, and have never seen it so tough. Someone always figures them out, and maybe it’s my turn! I had a great day one of practice with 4 fish about 4 lbs each, but everyday has gotten tougher. The last Elite of the year, time to catch em!!!!

Cayuga final

P#$!! poor!! Fished a frog and flipped all morning and caught a small limit. Then moved out to deep grass and caught one more on a dropshot. I totally missed the bite for big ones, but have one more chance at Oneida. We will move over there in the morning and then fish a couples tournament on Onadoga on Sunday.
